The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) offers a comprehensive grounding in management thinking tailored for the engineering and manufacturing sectors, ideal for those aspiring to managerial roles. Eligibility Criteria for MeM at UOWD
Students applying for a master’s degree must have completed a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) at an accredited institution of higher education and have achieved the minimum grades outlined below:

- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study, or its equivalent, with an overall GPA between 2.5 and 2.99 (on a 4.0 scale) may be conditionally admitted to a master’s program, only if they meet the necessary English language requirement. Such students must take a maximum of 18cp of subjects studied for the master’s degree during the period of conditional admission and must achieve an overall WAM of 55 in their first 3 subjects at the University. Students who fail to achieve this standard may have their enrolment discontinued.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study, or its equivalent, with an overall GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 (on a 4.0 scale) may be conditionally admitted to a master’s degree, only if they meet the necessary English language requirement and they will be required to complete a maximum of 18cp remedial non-credit bearing subjects prior to enrolment in their chosen master’s degree. Students must achieve a minimum WAM of 55 in these subjects in order to progress to the Master’s degree or may have their enrolment discontinued.

Scholarships Available : MeM at UOWD
Academic Merit Scholarship
The Master’s Academic Scholarship at UOWD covers 15% to 25% of tuition fees each trimester. The scholarship does not include textbooks, excursions, accommodation, living expenses or any other costs involved in undertaking study.

Two categories of scholarships are available to master’s students.
- 25% scholarship
- 15% scholarship
Within each category, the number of scholarships awarded is limited and you must meet the minimum selection criteria for the relevant category in order for your application to be considered.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
- Applications are open to students of any citizenship.
- Applications are open to new (entry-level) students only who will be undertaking full-time study.
- Applicants must have achieved the minimum grades as listed in the Curriculum table below.
- Applicants must meet all of the academic and admission criteria to be admitted to the University and be intending to enrol in the relevant session for which they have applied.

The Master of Engineering Management comprises of a total of 9 subjects that includes 5 core subjects, 3 elective subjects that preferably are in a stream that permits students to focus on their interests and career aspirations, and the final project.
Students from a three year bachelor’s degree or a four year program without a research component will be required to take additional two subjects decided in consultation with the faculty.

FAQs About MeM
My undergraduate degree is not in an engineering discipline. Am I eligible to apply?
You are eligible to apply if you have earned a Bachelor of Science in a similar science discipline, but you may be at a disadvantage compared to engineering majors who have applied. Please thoroughly review the requirements of the program in the MSME Graduate Handbook to help you decide if you are prepared for our program.
I am currently getting my BS degree. Can I apply for the PhD program?
Yes. Students with a BS degree are eligible to apply to the PhD program.
Are internships considered as work expereince?
You can enter all types of work experience in the Education and Experience section as well as detailing these experiences on your CV (Resumé).
I already have a MS degree in another discipline. Am I eligible to apply for an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford?
Students who have already received a Master’s degree or an equivalent international advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline are not eligible for admission to Stanford’s MS program in Mechanical Engineering. Students with a Master’s degree in a discipline that does not substantially overlap with Stanford’s MS program may apply.
I am currently enrolled in a Master's degree program or a combined Bachelor’s/Master's program. Am I eligible to apply for an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford?
Students who are already enrolled in a program leading to a Master’s degree or an equivalent international advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline are not eligible for admission to Stanford’s MS program in Mechanical Engineering.
