Eligibility Criteria for MeM at UCD

A primary degree in engineering, science or information technology combined with a minimum of five years relevant professional experience. However, all applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis so that in certain exceptional cases applicants who do not have the relevant qualification may be considered.

Scholarships Available : MeM at UCD

University College Dublin (UCD) offers a variety of scholarships and financial aids to help students finance their studies in the Master of Engineering Management (MeM) program.

Scholarships

  • UCD Graduate Entrance Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students who are starting a new graduate program at UCD. The scholarships cover tuition fees for one year.
  • UCD Global Excellence Graduate Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to outstanding international students who are starting a new graduate program at UCD. The scholarships cover tuition fees for one year.
  • UCD Smurfit School Scholarships: UCD Smurfit School offers a variety of scholarships to students in its graduate programs, including the MeM program. The scholarships cover tuition fees and other expenses.
  • External Scholarships: There are a number of external scholarships available to students in the MeM program. These scholarships are offered by government agencies, foundations, and corporations.

Specializations & Electives Offered

The MEM is undertaken on a part-time basis over two academic years (four semesters). Each semester contains 12 weeks of teaching. The programme is delivered in a blended format, comprising on campus classes (4 weeks) and on-line classes (8 weeks). On campus classes take place all day Friday in weeks 1, 4, 8 and 12 of each semester. On-line classes take place on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings in the other weeks of each semester. The theme running through the first two semesters involves analysing the operations of the firm, while the second year of the programme builds on this foundation in order to develop the future direction of the firm.

Application Process & timeline
