The Masters Degree Programme in Management Engineering prepares students for a variety of careers. The Management Engineer at Sapienza University of Rome has consolidated the basic multi-disciplinary preparation that characterizes the three-year degree course and has acquired knowledge and developed specialized skills through the use of a training course aimed at defining professional skills. In particular, the main professional profiles and the related acquired skills are described below, together with the expected employment opportunities.
Curricular requirements include:
i) the possession of a Bachelors Degree or university diploma or another qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable;
ii) the knowledge and skills acquired for the purposes of obtaining the qualification referred to in point i), expressed in terms of ECTS acquired with reference to groups of basic Academic Sector (SSD).
To be admitted to the masters degree programme it is necessary to meet the curricular
requirements and to have an adequate personal preparation.
Curricular requirements
The degree programme is open to graduates of classes L-8 and L-9 (ex DM 270/2004) who
achieved at least 12 Credits (ECTS/CFU) in the Academic Disciplines (SSD) below:
English language Level B2 of the Common European Framework is also required.
Adequacy of Personal Preparation
For students who meet the curricular requirements, the adequacy of the personal
preparation is verified based on the results obtained in the academic qualification used to
apply for the Masters Degree Programme, and, if necessary, with a specific admission test. If
the possible admission test result does not prove the adequacy of the candidate’s personal
preparation, the candidate cannot enrol in the masters degree programme.
The Degree Programme Regulation defines in detail the curricular requirements for the
admission to the Masters Degree Programme, as well as the criteria and methods for the
verification of the personal preparation (indicating the admission test programme and the
corresponding obligations and assessment methods).

A curriculum in Business Intelligence and Analytics (fully in English) is also proposed, which integrates the knowledge of business dynamics, methods and tools of optimization, information technology and statistics, in order to develop appropriate skills to support management in strategic decisions based on the analysis of available information.
The articulation of the program allows the Management Engineer at Sapienza University of Rome to find employment both within companies operating on a national and multinational scale in different sectors of production of goods and services (such as: business consulting, energy, financial markets, banking and insurance, transport and logistics, IT, electronics and telecommunications, mechanics, marketing and commercial distribution), which in the public administration.
