The cost of the Stanford MEM programme is approximately $18,491 each quarter for full-time. Students who only attend part-time pay $12,540 every quarter.

Fees: In addition to paying tuition, students must also pay fees. These fees pay for a range of costs, including student government dues, technology fees, and health insurance for students. Fees are $2,376 for full-time students and $1,770 for part-time students per quarter for the 2023–2024 academic year.

  • Online Application: Students have to submit an online application form at the official website.
  • Application Fee: Students need to submit their application fees.

  • 3 Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation are required; one letter must come from an academic source, although Stanford prefers at least two. Recommendations must be submitted online.

  • ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.

Scholarships Available : EBM at Exeter

Scholarships available:

A range of full, £10,000 and £5,000 scholarships are on offer. The number of awards available at each level varies.

Postgraduate taught awards for January 2024 entry are being offered for the following campus-based Masters programmes in the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy:

Only the programmes listed above are eligible (Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas are not eligible).  

Entry requirements

You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:

  • are classified as an International student for fees purposes (including any EU students required to pay International fees);
  • already hold an offer for an eligible Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter, commencing in January 2024; and
  • did not apply in Round 1 or 2  of the 2023/24 Global Excellence scholarship scheme (unless this was for a different programme).

Scholarship recipients are selected on:

  • Academic merit, based on the information you have supplied in your programme application.  Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they have achieved or are able to achieve the equivalent of UK upper second class degree. See our Entry Requirements pages for further guidance.
  • The ability to demonstrate the following as part of the application process: academic ambition; future career ambitions; a genuine need for the scholarship and how this will support your ambitions; a sense of social responsibility and willingness to engage with the Exeter community. 

Specializations & Electives Offered

This programme is modular and flexible, carrying 180 credits (240 credits for the Engineering Business Management with Industrial Placement variant) in total and offering flexibility in choice of modules studied.

MSc Engineering Business Management consists of seven core engineering, business and management focussed modules totalling 180 credits. This includes the 60-credit Engineering MSc project, and two 15-credit optional modules.

The programme begins in September each year and the taught elements are concluded by May. The Engineering MSc project, under the personal supervision of a research expert in the chosen area, continues until September.

The modules we outline here provide examples of what you can expect to learn on this degree course based on recent academic teaching. The precise modules available to you in future years may vary depending on staff availability and research interests, new topics of study, timetabling and student demand.

We aim to make to make appropriate adjustments for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students who are eligible for additional specific provisions during exams or assessments in accordance with their Individual Learning Plan (ILP). All students must use a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to apply for a Student Visa. The University will generate a CAS number for an applicant once their offer is unconditional and has been firmly accepted. The CAS number will sent via email, as will the CAS Statement. Applicants must ensure all details in the CAS are correct before submitting a visa application. For further information please visit our International Student Support website.
