The Advanced Engineering Management Programme (AEMP) is delivered jointly by the School of Engineering and the Birmingham Business School, combining the expertise and strengths of both schools to offer a high-quality, distinctive and flexible course.
MSc Advanced Engineering Management At Birmingham introduces core management concepts in semester one before you select one of four specialist pathways in semester two. You also have the opportunity to choose a mixed pathway route, tailoring the course to your requirements.

The University tuition fee covers the cost of your tuition, examination and graduation, and includes membership in the Guild of Students. Individual programmes may charge a different fee from that quoted.
Where this is the case it is made clear in the individual course listings within the course finder. You should always check the fee for your course. When a programme begins and/or ends mid-session, fees are normally charged on a pro-rata basis according to the number of months studied within a session.
Depending on your subject, there may also be additional costs associated with field trips, travel and activities off-campus. You will also need to meet the costs of printing your Master’s dissertation to the University’s requirements.

You are eligible to apply if you have earned a Bachelor of Science in a similar science discipline, but you may be at a disadvantage compared to engineering majors who have applied. Please thoroughly review the requirements of the program in the MSME Graduate Handbook to help you decide if you are prepared for our program.
Yes. Students with a BS degree are eligible to apply to the PhD program.
You can enter all types of work experience in the Education and Experience section as well as detailing these experiences on your CV (Resumé).
We will only process applications which have been submitted to us. You do not need to worry about an incomplete application if you wish to cancel your application.

If you would like to change your course choice, as you can submit up to 5 applications for different courses in any one academic year, please submit an application for the course you wish to change to and withdraw your previous application accordingly.
