About MeM Interviews:

The Master of Engineering Management (MeM) admission interview at Northeastern University is an opportunity for the admissions committee to get to know you better and to assess your fit for the program. The interview is typically conducted by a faculty member or admissions officer and lasts about 30 minutes.

During the interview, you will likely be asked questions about your academic background, work experience, career goals, and why you are interested in the MeM program at Northeastern University. You may also be asked to discuss your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership experience.

The following are the questions that were asked:

2. Give an example of a project or a previous engineering-related job experience. What part did you play in it?
3. How have you responded to shifts and obstacles in your career or academic path?

I wish I had smiled more and been happier or more optimistic in the past. I obtained the interviewer’s email address on the website. I emailed the interviewer a thank you, and she responded.

Northeastern University MeM Interview Experience-2

I just got accepted into the Northeastern University. It was held quite recently. I was somewhat anxious because this was my first interview for any school. Despite a combination of standard interview questions and behavioural questions, the interview overall had a conversational feel, which was helpful. No specific order is followed. These are the questions:

These questions were asked:

1. Tell about a time when you worked well with others in a group environment or as a team leader.
2. How do you go about making decisions in situations that are ambiguous or changing quickly?
3. Could you talk about how important you think social responsibility and ethics are in engineering management?
4. What are your long-term professional goals, and how can this programme help you achieve them?
5. Give an example of a struggle you’ve faced, either personally or professionally, and how you overcame it.

The interview was conducted without incident. His concluding remarks were quite uplifting. I wish everyone the best”

Northeastern University MeM Interview Experience-4

I applied to NU and did not anticipate receiving an invitation because I belong to an overrepresented minority. I believe that employing the optional essay was successful. Without it, I don’t believe I would have been invited for the interview (based on the criteria in my profile, certainly!).

1. Could you give an example of a situation in which you handled a project both technically and organizationally?
2. In what ways do you envision yourself enhancing and reaping the rewards of a multicultural and cooperative educational setting?
3. Talk about a time when you had to make a big choice in an unknown circumstance or with insufficient information.
4. Which character traits and values do you think complement Northeastern University’s emphasis on social responsibility and ethics in engineering management?
5. In what ways do you manage and adjust to alterations or obstacles encountered in your career or academic pursuits?

The process was extremely straightforward, and the interview lasted approximately 30 minutes. She responded that the present turnover time is three weeks, which is what I anticipated given the season.

Northeastern University MeM Interview Experience-5

I had a Zoom interview for the NU MeM Program. It was held on February 17, 2023. It was 45 minutes long.

1. Which personality traits make you a good fit for Northeastern University’s Masters in Engineering Management programme?
2. Tell about a moment when you had to use your emotional intelligence to get through a challenging interpersonal scenario.
3. In high-stress circumstances, whether in your career or academic life, how do you manage tension and keep your cool?
4. Tell about a personal accomplishment that took tenacity and fortitude. What self-discoveries did that event teach you?
5. Creativity and innovation are valued at Northeastern University. Could you give instances of your innovative problem-solving techniques and explain how your distinct personality supports these attributes?
