“My interview lasted for almost 30 minutes. The majority of the interview was conducted in conversation. The order of the interview questions I can remember is as follows:”

1. What is your motivation for quitting your former work or your family business?
2. Are you interested in pursuing a particular industry?
3. How can one motivate others the most effectively?
4. Give an instance of a “let down” and explain your response.
5. You wish to pursue this programme, but why?
6. What do you mean by short- and long-term goals?

“Utilize the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method when responding to behavioral questions, providing specific examples to demonstrate your skills and accomplishments.”

Columbia MeM Interview Experience-2

“The date of the interview was February 21, 2023. In the end, I was granted acceptance.
My interview began with a brief icebreaker about my Pick 6 and was quite informal. Since many of your questions concerned my application and non-traditional background (PR and Psychology major), I won’t go into specifics. The crucial queries were:”

1. What professional objectives can the programme help you achieve?
2. Five years down the line, where do you picture yourself?
3. Which other colleges are you submitting applications to?
4. Tell me about yourself.
5. Why did you decide to go to Columbia?
6. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses?
7. What are your long-term and short-term goals?
8. How do you plan to achieve your goals?
9. What do you see yourself doing five years from now?

“Practice positive body language, including a firm handshake, maintaining good posture, and using expressive gestures to convey enthusiasm and confidence.”

Columbia MeM Interview Experience-3

“I had a conversation with the Columbia interviewer recently. I was asked to go over my résumé during the interview and she asked why questions. We worked on my profile for twenty to twenty-five minutes, and we asked him questions regarding the programme for the final part of the interview. I can recall the following sequence in which the interview questions were asked:”

1. What special characteristics suit you well for the MEM programme?
2. How do you individually respond to obstacles and failures?
3. Tell about a time when you worked well with people with different personalities.
4. Give an example of how you have solved an engineering problem creatively.
5. What makes you think you’re a better team player or leader naturally?
6. How do you deal with uncertainty and ambiguity in your work?

“I didn’t know how they felt about my interview because it lasted less than 30 minutes, but I tried my hardest. The queries that come to mind are as follows:”

1. In a team, what role do you usually play?
2. What are the most typical causes of team failure?
3. How can you rapidly and efficiently assemble a group of strangers to work together as a team?
4. What are the essential elements of success? Or how do you define success?

“Be confident throughout the process and make sure you tell them various instances to support your answers. rest everything should go fine.”

“My interview lasted about 20-25 minutes and the committee looked unhappy but I tried my hardest. The queries that come to mind are as follows:”

1. Do you have a specific sector in mind in which you aspire to pursue employment?
2. What are the most effective strategies for motivating individuals?
3. What are the short-term and long-term objectives?
4. Do you have any particular expectations regarding how this programme will assist you in advancing in your selected field?
