What is a good GMAT score for MiM at Erasmus?

Long Answer – There is no such thing as a safe score, higher is always better. In our years of consulting experience, we have seen our clients with 640 getting selected into top schools like INSEAD and on the other hand, someone with a 770 getting rejected too. A good benchmark that we advise all our clients to beat is the average GMAT score of the last entering class as mentioned in the Class profile published every year. Scoring above the average gets you a fair shot;

If you plan to apply with a score that is below the average, then you are starting a fight with one hand tied behind your back or, let’s say, you are starting a few yards behind your competitors. You can definitely catch up in other sections of the application by writing outstanding essays or performing really well in an interview later. But it is always nice to start ahead of the competitor. A higher GMAT score helps one gain a competitive advantage.

Documents required : MiM at Erasmus
Within 24 hours of a successful registration via Studielink you will receive your log in details (also known as ERNA credentials) and a link to the RSM Online Application Form (OLAF). You can also access OLAF via https://apply.rsm.nl/
After you have filled in details such as your personal information, prior education and language skills in OLAF, you will be asked to upload supporting documents. These documents will be used to evaluate your eligibility and act as proof, for example for your language skills (English).
- In your CV you should list all relevant experiences. The CV will not be assessed during the evaluation, but can provide additional information for the admission staff. The CV only plays an important role for the admissions staff in the preparation for the additional selection MSc International Management/CEMS.
- Secondary school diploma
- It is not required that you have completed your bachelor studies at the time of application but if available, we advise you to include your diploma in the application. If you are accepted to RSM, you are expected to provide certified hardcopies of your diploma and final transcript, by the 31st of August.
n order to evaluate your eligibility, an (official) transcript of records including all subjects and grades you have obtained so far during higher education is required. We also advise you to include a list of subjects you are still planning to take before graduation.
Many universities use online systems from which an overview of courses and grades can be extracted. A temporary transcript from an online system is sufficient at the time of application as long as it contains the name of the applicant, the name of the university and the name of the study.

Scholarships Available : MiM at Erasmus
The number of scholarships is limited and mainly merit based. If a scholarship covers only the tuition fees, be aware that you need to finance your own living expenses (rent, food and insurances) for the duration of your studies. RSM does not offer scholarships for the pre-master programme. We do however offer a maximum of 2 scholarships per academic year to RSM pre-master students enrolling in an MSc programme.
Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) offers multiple scholarships to prospective students from non-EEA countries who are not entitled to pay the EEA tuition fee, provided their grades are considered ‘excellent’. RSM also offers one scholarship, the Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship, to students from EEA countries.

FAQs about MiM at Erasmus
When did the application close last year?
Last year the application closed on the 24th of April. We advise you to submit your application as soon as you meet the minimum admissions requirements, including GPA, English and GMAT test results (if applicable). Plan your English and GMAT tests well in advance!
Is the RSM Erasmus MIM student population diverse?
International diversity is very important to RSM and we therefore closely monitor the percentages of students in each master programme per diploma. If there are too many students with a certain diploma, the programme will not be balanced which will be detrimental to the international classroom concept.
In general RSM receives a sufficient number of applications from students from all over the world and has rarely had to apply restrictions to the intake of applicants based on a specific diploma. Should the need to restrict the number of students with a specific diploma arise, it will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
