RSM Erasmus MIM Interviews

About MIM Interviews:

Academic and professional admissions depend on interviews. It helps evaluate candidates’ credentials, talents, and personality. Interviews allow assessors to interact with applicants and make holistic judgements. This crucial step helps institutions to discover the most promising individuals who can succeed in their programmes.

Typical Interview Method:

Interviews usually include numerous steps to evaluate an applicant’s profile. Individuals are shortlisted based on academic records, essays, and recommendation letters. Interviews might be face-to-face, telephonic, or video-based for shortlisted candidates.

The interview assesses an applicant’s topic knowledge, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and programme fit. They may ask broad and particular questions to gauge the applicant’s intelligence. Interviewers analyse motivation, personality, and fit with the institution’s ideals in addition to academic ability.

Interview panels use established criteria for fairness and uniformity. Academics, extracurriculars, leadership, and problem-solving may be considered. To evaluate a candidate’s capacity to collaborate, think critically, and solve issues under pressure, interviews may include practical exercises, group discussions, or case studies.

In conclusion, admission interviews help schools find extraordinary people with the talents, qualifications, and personalities to succeed in their programs. The systematic process allows evaluators to make educated selections and choose a varied and skilled group.

RSM Erasmus MIM Interview Experience-1

On October 20 and 22, I participated in an online interview.

The Last Word: Approved

I spoke with one of RSM Erasmus’s general managers in charge of admissions before submitting my application, and I included that information in my essay. It turned out that the interview was more of a relaxed dialogue than anyone had anticipated.
The question, “If I suppose that you are taking this interview for RSM, then what is that one critical thing you would be seeking in the applicant?,” was an example of a pivotal inquiry.

Give me a rundown of your favourite non-work related activities.

The adcom told me to pay close attention since she was about to pose a difficult question. In what ways do you think your application may use improvement? In this case, a more specific, rather than a more general, understanding of weakness appears warranted.
What drives you more than anything else in the world?

Tell me about the things that make you nervous about coming to RSM.
Do you have a query for us?
When you say one company, how long have you been there? Why did you leave the place so quickly? Would it have been possible to wait a bit longer?
Specify the name of the NGO you represent and your specific responsibilities there.
If your friends had to characterise you in three words, what would they be?
Please describe the RSM areas in where you feel you need to improve the most as a leader.
In one of your essays, I learned that you had a horrific experience. Which of these lessons did you find the most useful? Could you handle going through that again?
I’m curious as to what drew you to the field of information technology. When prompted, why do you answer “work”?
Imagine yourself in a leadership role. What gives you the idea that? How exactly do you take the lead?
Do you want to ask me a question?

You should relate what you’ve done up to this point and what you hope to accomplish after graduating from MIM to the curriculum, instructors, research opportunities, and extracurricular activities that MIM has to offer.

RSM Erasmus MIM Interview Experience-2

An RSM MiM Programme career team member and I met for 45 minutes. On February 18th, 2021, it all went down.

-Please introduce yourself to me.

-What is it about RSM that makes it special?

-Why do you want to join the RSM IM CEMS programme, if you do? What’s the Point of CEMS?

-Tell me about your motivations for choosing these destinations for your exchange.

-What is your greatest accomplishment?

Behavioural Questions-

1. Give an example of a time when you took the lead and share the lessons you took away from that experience.

2. Give an example of a moment when you showed initiative and got things done. What insight did you gain?

Third, describe a time when your communication skills served you well and share what you learnt from the experience.

Please share an experience in which you were required to work with others, and what you took out from it.

Keep your cool.

RSM Erasmus MIM Interview Experience-3

I had a conversation with the RSM interviewer a few months back. The duration of the interview was close to 30 minutes. The questions I was asked during the interviews have been arranged in the following sequence.

These tasks are designed to evaluate us as individuals and as a team.

During the group activities, everyone will get one minute to talk, and the group will vote on whether someone will speak in favour of or against the topic at hand.

They presented a brief scenario (one that was quite simple and didn’t include excessive data), split the class in half, and gave each half an hour to come up with a solution to the problem.

In-Person Meetings

Questions of a general nature (Profile-based, Why a MIM? So why this instant? Why Enroll at RSM? scenario-based questioning)

Overall, I picked up a wealth of information throughout my nearly 30-minute interview.

RSM Erasmus MIM Interview Experience-4

The interview mainly consisted of talking to each other. Interview questions that stick out in my mind are listed below in the sequence in which they were asked.

We began the day with a panel discussion that focused on recent female grads, and then we dove into classroom work.

Then we joined current MIM students for lunch.

And the assessment was done after eating:Analysing the Predicament

Partners discussing a case study

presentation of a case by a two-person team

Talking: Interview

Collective Effort

We also had a meeting with the dean of the school and the local employment office.

The success of your study group and your use of common sense will determine how well you perform on the test, so don’t stress out too much. Before going into an interview for a Master of International Management (MIM), it is crucial that you know why you want one and what you intend to do with it.

The campus is beautiful and full with kind people. In a short amount of time, I felt like a part of a loving community.

RSM Erasmus MIM Interview Experience-5

RSM, Rotterdam, My First Interview:

Last week, I had an individual MIM interview with a member of the Rotterdam School of Management admissions committee. The Skype meeting with RSM Rotterdam lasted roughly half an hour. The interviewer put me at ease right away, and I had no trouble answering any of the questions. There was a noticeable difference between the questions asked at my Mim personal interviews and the ones asked at the RSM Rotterdam interview. Here are several possible explanations (not listed in question order):

Your essays have covered topics such as future goals and aspirations. What do you mean by that? Please elaborate on your plan and the kind of businesses you want to approach. Give an example of a time you overcame a major obstacle on the job.

Give me a brief introduction to who you are.

Is RSM worth picking, and why?

Do you find yourself drawn to any certain subcultures?

More particularly, we inquire:

To begin, what is your take on the present situation of the startup industry and why? Which of AI’s many breakthroughs do you consider to be the most important?

Do you believe that 50 years ago, businesses had a significantly longer lifespan than they do today, or is this no longer the case? Why?

What do you believe Amazon and other successful companies did during the covid to ensure their continued success? The interviews went well, which is encouraging.
