About MSBA Interviews:
Academic and professional admissions depend on interviews. It helps evaluate candidates’ credentials, talents, and personality. Interviews allow assessors to interact with applicants and make holistic judgements. This crucial step helps institutions to discover the most promising individuals who can succeed in their programmes.
Typical Interview Method:
Interviews usually include numerous steps to evaluate an applicant’s profile. Based on academic records, essays, and recommendation letters, individuals are shortlisted. Interviews might be face-to-face, telephonic, or video-based for shortlisted candidates.
The interview assesses an applicant’s topic knowledge, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and programme fit. They may ask broad and particular questions to gauge the applicant’s intelligence. Interviewers analyse motivation, personality, and fit with the institution’s ideals in addition to academic ability.
Interview panels use established criteria for fairness and uniformity. Academics, extracurriculars, leadership, and problem-solving may be considered. To evaluate a candidate’s capacity to collaborate, think critically, and solve issues under pressure, interviews may include practical exercises, group discussions, or case studies.
In conclusion, admission interviews help schools find extraordinary people with the talents, qualifications, and personalities to succeed in their programmes. The systematic process allows evaluators to make educated selections and choose a varied and skilled group.

“Recently, I had a conversation with the Imperial MSBA interviewer. The interview lasted approximately 30 to 35 minutes. The following is the order of the interview questions that I can recall:
Describe yourself and guide me through your resume.
What are your short- and long-term objectives?
Why use MSBA?
Why choose Imperial MSBA?
Which companies am I interested in joining following the MSBA?
Given that an MSBA at Imperial would require teamwork, how will you utilise your assets to ensure that the team’s goals are met?
Any concerns for me?
The interview was straightforward and consisted of anticipated queries.
Imperial MSBA Interview Experience-2
“My interview for the Imperial MSBA Programme took place on March 15, 2022. The interview lasted for approximately forty-five minutes. It was a Zoom interview that was simple to conduct.
These questions were asked:
Tell me anything that is not listed on your resume.
Why Imperial?
Your Short- and long-term goals
How did you handle a situation involving an opposing team member? What would you do if a person has no interest whatsoever in your team, the follow-up query inquired?
How did you respond to the manager’s comments?
A typical example of an excellent leader.
What contributions would you make to the community at Imperial College?
Any questions?
The interview was conducted without incident. His concluding remarks were quite uplifting. I wish everyone the best”
Imperial MSBA Interview Experience-3
“I had my final Imperial MSBA interview on December 4, 2019, and I was accepted into the programme. The following inquiries were made:
– Tell us about your resume.
Why are you interested in joining Imperial College?
– Why now?
– What occupations or industries are you contemplating for the near and distant future? Why those in particular?
– Are you willing to work in cities other than Vancouver?
What qualities would your peers use to describe you?
What expectations do you have for your cohort?
What contributions do you contribute to society?
– Once you have obtained your MSBA, how would you strengthen the school network?
What do you do to preserve your mental health?
– Is there anything you’d like the hiring committee to know that is not listed on your resume?

This is all I can remember. Hope this helps”
Imperial MSBA Interview Experience-4
“My interview for the Imperial MSBA Programme took place on March 19, 2021. Due to the unavailability of the school portal for a few days, it took me three attempts to schedule an interview with the admissions committee. The following issues come to mind, not necessarily in this order:
1) Why obtain an MSBA from Imperial College at this point in your career?
2) Which programme element are you anticipating the most?
3) What are your short-term and long-term career goals, in addition to your MSBA plans?
4) In a professional capacity, what are your greatest accomplishment and worst mistake?
5) What if one member of a team of five was manifestly not doing their share of the work and submitting substandard or late work? What would you do in such a circumstance?
6) Imagine that everyone is currently working diligently, but someone in your organisation has a radically different approach to a particular business problem. What is your behaviour?
7) Any concerns for us?
The process was extremely straightforward, and the interview lasted approximately 30 minutes. She responded that the present turnover time is three weeks, which is what I anticipated given the season.
Imperial MSBA Interview Experience-5
“I recently had a Skype interview for the Imperial MSBA Programme. She reportedly only conducts interviews via Skype, so candidates from outside the United States may also meet with her. If you have an on-campus interview, you will typically speak with a different admissions officer.
The following topics were asked:
1. Why do you want to do MSBA?
What are you most looking forward to about joining the Sauder community?
What are your immediate objectives?
What are your long-term ambitions?
5. How will your MSBA and short-term goals help you accomplish your long-term goals?
6. Describe a time when you and your supervisor had a disagreement.
What misconceptions may your colleagues have about you?
How many additional institutions have you applied to?
What would you choose first?
It was a less formal conversation. Be authentic. Perform an exhaustive investigation of the school. Be confident in your statements. Copies of the words of others and vulgar language are ineffective. Despite the conventional queries, I found this interview to be significantly more challenging. I hope that was helpful. I wish all applicants the best of success.”
