Essec MSBA Interviews

About MSBA Interviews:

Academic and professional admissions depend on interviews. It helps evaluate candidates’ credentials, talents, and personality. Interviews allow assessors to interact with applicants and make holistic judgements. This crucial step helps institutions to discover the most promising individuals who can succeed in their programmes.

Typical Interview Method:

Interviews usually include numerous steps to evaluate an applicant’s profile. Based on academic records, essays, and recommendation letters, individuals are shortlisted. Interviews might be face-to-face, telephonic, or video-based for shortlisted candidates.

The interview assesses an applicant’s topic knowledge, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and programme fit. They may ask broad and particular questions to gauge the applicant’s intelligence. Interviewers analyse motivation, personality, and fit with the institution’s ideals in addition to academic ability.

Interview panels use established criteria for fairness and uniformity. Academics, extracurriculars, leadership, and problem-solving may be considered. To evaluate a candidate’s capacity to collaborate, think critically, and solve issues under pressure, interviews may include practical exercises, group discussions, or case studies.

In conclusion, admission interviews help schools find extraordinary people with the talents, qualifications, and personalities to succeed in their programmes. The systematic process allows evaluators to make educated selections and choose a varied and skilled group.

What is your plan B if your career goals fail to materialise?

What was your previous position or internship entail?

Interview Tips/Observations –

The interview was straightforward and consisted of anticipated queries.

I recently had my interview for the ESSEC MSBA Programme. My interview was conducted by a member of the admissions committee and one of the admissions directors. The interview lasted approximately 30 minutes and was highly conversational. She ensured that I felt comfortable in my environment. The following inquiries were made:

Essec MSBA Interview Experience-3

I was recently admitted to the Essec MSBA Programme. It occurred very recently. As this was my first interview with a school, I was somewhat apprehensive. Despite a combination of standard interview questions and behavioural inquiries, the interview had a beneficial conversational tone. There is no specific schedule followed. Here are the inquiries:

1. Examine your resume.
2. Why do you want to pursue MSBA at Essec in particular?
3. What are your immediate and long-term goals?
4. Describe a professional achievement for yourself.
5. Describe a professional failure you experienced and the lessons you learned from it.
6. Describe a time when you were annoyed with a coworker and how you dealt with it.
7. Describe a time when a team member with a distinct cultural, ethnic, or professional background joined your team. How did you help this new member integrate into the team?
8. Assume you have the opportunity to have coffee with the Dean of Essec. Which three questions will you ask her?
9. What other colleges have you applied to?
10. Any queries for me?

In general, the interview was conversational, and he did an excellent job of putting me at ease. We hope this is helpful.

Essec MSBA Interview Experience-4

The date of my ESSEC MSBA Programme interview was October 14, 2022. The interview lasted approximately forty minutes, and the questions had previously been posted in debriefs. The following topics were posed to me:

Please review my resume.
What are your post-MBA objectives?
Why do you want to do MSBA?
Why would you like to join Essec?
What are your thoughts regarding diversity?
The lesson that has made the greatest impression on you.
One workplace difficulty and what you learned from it.

Be sincere and make every effort to illustrate your points with practical examples. Examine the institution to learn more about its benefits and how they align with your goals. Do not fret excessively. Best of success.

Essec MSBA Interview Experience-5

I was interviewed via Zoom for the Essec MSBA programme. The event occurred on February 17, 2023. It lasted 45 minutes.

Not necessarily in order:

Why earn an MBA?
How Come Now?
3. Why Sauder?
What do you anticipate to be the greatest obstacle during your MBA?
What are three adjectives your colleagues would use to characterise you? Which one do you concur with and which one do you not?
How can you enhance your classroom?
What kind of alumni do you intend to be?
How will you establish and link short- and long-term objectives to your work?
10 What is one question you would like me to ask you?
11. Please describe your involvement in the community.

I enjoyed my conversation with Daniela and valued our exchange. The 45 minutes flew by swiftly. It was beneficial that I had previously seen her in webinars hosted by the institution. During our conversation, she took a LOT of notes. That could be very good or very terrible. I suppose only time will tell, however.

In general, you should be prepared. Understand the program’s nuances, notably why they pertain to YOU specifically. Details are crucial. If possible, I would recommend attending several practise interviews. I systematically reviewed the videos I had created of myself responding to the most common questions. You are a person with both positive and negative qualities. They are cognizant of it. You should recognise the same. Demonstrate that you are aware of your flaws and describe what you have/are doing to address them.In any event, I trust the debrief was informative.
