Students gain deeper knowledge of business analytics through active examination of actual business challenges and problems thanks to the program’s project-based learning components in the classroom. These initiatives span a variety of business disciplines, such as accounting, management, marketing, operations, supply chain, sports analytics, and human resources.

Through projects with industry partners and summer internships, students in the MSBA Program acquire important real-world experience throughout their studies. Instead of being required to complete a Capstone Project at the end of their graduate Program, MSBA students have the opportunity to enhance their resumes by working with companies to find data-driven solutions to actual business challenges. Students also compete in Case Competitions both inside and outside of the Program to sharpen their business acumen.

The 33 units required for the USC Marshall MSBA degree must be completed in 3 semesters (with the option to extend to 4 semesters): Fall, Spring, and Fall. In addition to the 12 units of coursework chosen from a list of electives, there are 21 units of coursework that are obligatory, including an internship option.
