2. Describe any significant cross cultural experiences you had outside your home country, including study abroad, exchange programs, extensive international travel, or residence in another country (include dates).
My first significant cross-cultural experience happened in January 2020 when I got an exceptional opportunity to represent India with AIESEC in the Czech Republic. To participate in this AIESEC program focused on spreading awareness of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, I went through multiple intensive interviews and prepared detailed presentations on the SDGs.
After my presentation, it was a crowning moment when the Czech team selected me to lead the 20-member Indian contingent for this project. For 45 days, I led the Indian team in the Czech Republic with the aim of breaking cultural barriers between our nations and educating local students about various cultures in India.
During those 45 days, we hosted workshops in Czech schools where we shared insights about Indian culture, traditions and societal values. At the same time, we learned so much from the local students and teachers about Czech culture and way of life. It was an incredibly enriching experience of mutual learning and understanding.
Beyond the workshops, living with local host families gave me a deep immersion into authentic Czech culture. My hosts treated me like family and invited me into their daily lives and routines. From sharing meals to celebrating local festivals, I experienced first-hand the warmth and richness of Czech traditions.
This cross-cultural experience broadened my horizons immensely. I made valuable connections with fellow AIESEC volunteers from around the world who came to Czech Republic for this program. The lessons I learned about empathy, open-mindedness and the power of cross-cultural communication during this AIESEC project have stayed with me. It solidified my belief that fostering cultural understanding between nations is crucial for driving positive societal change.
Overall, representing India and Indian culture on the international stage while being immersed in Czech society was an unparalleled experience. This formative experience has enhanced my ability to work with multi-cultural teams and relate to people from all backgrounds.
3. List below any other interests, hobbies, or recreational activities you currently pursue in your free time. (500 words)
My main interests lie in football, travelling, and the UN’s sustainable development goals.
Since early childhood, I have spent most of my weekends playing football. During my school days I was privileged to captain the school football team, leading them to the finals of various zonal competitions. Even in college, I continued the same spirit in various university tournaments. Being a committed captain, I was able to showcase the skills that had honed over the years and won tournaments. Besides helping me push the boundaries of my mental and physical stamina, football has given me the opportunity to experience the power of teamwork firsthand.
I am also a part of the Manchester City Official Supporters Club. In June 2023, I visited Istanbul for two weeks to support my favourite team in the Champions League final against Inter Milan. Beyond watching the match, I spent those two weeks exploring different cities in Turkey as a solo traveller. This gave me a chance to immerse myself in the local culture and interact with people from different backgrounds.
I can proudly say football has not only given me victories or losses but also a journey of self-discovery through travelling. These experiences have broadened my perspective and helped me understand and appreciate cultural diversity.
Outside of work and football, I deeply care about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Out of the 17 goals, I have worked extensively on SDG 4 – Quality Education, ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education. The basic agenda is to achieve this goal by 2030 by re-imagining education systems and making education financing a priority in national investment policies.
I got an exceptional opportunity to represent India and lead a 20-member team with AIESEC in the Czech Republic for 45 days. We conducted workshops in local schools to educate students about India’s efforts towards providing quality education to the next billion people. Hosting these workshops gave me a deeper understanding of the educational inequalities that exist across cultures.
Looking ahead, I aim to continue working towards the SDGs, especially quality education. I am determined to use my experiences and learnings to drive meaningful societal impact in this area.
In summary, football, travelling and working towards the UN’s SDGs are passions that I pursue wholeheartedly during my free time. These interests have enriched my life with varied experiences and helped inculcate quintessential skills like leadership, teamwork and cross-cultural understanding within me.
4. Please describe any academic, professional, or civic honors or awards you received, patents you’ve been issued, books you’ve authored, or any other significant accomplishments you would like the admissions committee to consider. (500 words)
I would like to highlight a few key academic and professional accomplishments that have been significant milestones in my journey so far.
On the academic front, I was awarded the ‘Maths Olympiad City Championship Title’ in 2015 when I was in school. I had a strong aptitude for mathematics and consistently ranked in the top 1% in Maths Olympiads across my school years. My dedication and passion for the subject culminated in me securing the Under-16 city championship title in 2015 after years of tenacious preparation.
This achievement not only boosted my confidence but also instilled in me the importance of perseverance and hard work in realizing one’s goals. The rigorous training and commitment required to excel at that level have stayed with me as core values.
In my professional career, I would consider my biggest accomplishment to be successfully bringing one of the elite management consulting firms to our nascent business school for recruitment.
When I joined the Corporate Relations team at my current organization Masters’ Union, a new-age business school, top consulting firms were hesitant to recruit from us being just a 3-year-old institute. However, I identified that one of the MBB firms, BCG, was struggling to find suitable candidates from their regular recruitment pipeline.
I reached out to them and proposed giving our students an opportunity through an internship program. With this approach, BCG agreed and ran a pilot hiring process at our campus. The internship saw a remarkable conversion rate where 75% of the interns secured full-time job offers from BCG after successful completion of the program.
This was a game-changing moment as it opened doors for students at Masters’ Union to be recruited by India’s most elite corporates. It validated the cutting-edge curriculum and pedagogy being imparted at our institute. For me personally, it was an unparalleled professional achievement, having brokered such a pivotal relationship at the very start of my career.
On the societal contribution front, I take great pride in the work I did with AIESEC towards driving awareness of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, especially Quality Education. Being selected to lead a 20-member Indian team in the Czech Republic and conducting workshops in local schools was an incredibly satisfying experience. It allowed me to contribute towards reducing educational inequalities through enhancing mutual understanding between cultures.
These diverse accomplishments across academics, professional work and social impact have shaped my journey in meaningful ways. As I now prepare for my next big milestone of pursuing an MBA, I aim to carry forward the same zeal, diligence and commitment that have formed the bedrock of my success so far.

What truly sets UF’s MBA program apart for me is the opportunity for experiential learning through programs like Technical Entrepreneurship and the Marketing Strategy Works consulting projects. The ability to apply classroom concepts in real-world scenarios while working on strategic projects for established companies will provide me with a distinct competitive edge. This hands-on learning methodology aligns perfectly with the way I have upskilled myself through practical experiences in the professional world so far.
Overall, UF’s MBA program stands out for its rigorous marketing curriculum design, leadership development initiatives, experiential learning pedagogy and interdisciplinary flexible structure. These compelling factors, coupled with UF’s global brand value, make this MBA program an ideal launchpad for achieving my long-term goals and pivoting into a strategic marketing leadership role. I am confident that UF will provide me with the transformative experience required to emerge as a well-rounded business leader of the future.
