First Year

The course is divided into parts, each of which covers a key aspect of managing data and AI in organizations. Each module mixes academic readings with hands-on training activities and a real-world consulting project where teams of students offer AI solutions to real-world business issues.

  • MIB International Immersion Internship

The MIB International Immersion Internship is a program designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in an international business setting. It combines the academic rigor of a master’s degree in international business with a hands-on internship experience abroad.

During the internship, students have the chance to work in a global business environment, apply their knowledge and skills, and gain valuable insights into cross-cultural business practices. The program aims to enhance students’ understanding of global markets, expand their professional network, and develop the necessary skills to excel in the field of international business.

  • International Business Research Project

The MIB Research Project course discusses how business research can lead to the creation of new knowledge. The goal is to give learners the skills and knowledge necessary to plan, carry out, and evaluate research projects in professional settings.

You will choose an intriguing study topic relevant to international business while working in two-person teams. The next step is to perform a research project in which you gather and examine data related to your topic of choice and present your results.

  • CEMS International Internship

CEMS International Internship is a prestigious program that offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and global exposure. Second Year

Students either complete their CEMS year or take part in another exchange Program during the second year of the Program. If a student chooses not to participate in CEMS, they can still apply for another exchange Program and study abroad for the autumn semester at one of Stockholm’s partner institutions. The CEMS students take a CEMS core course in global strategy during a one-week intense block seminar to start the autumn semester.

They attend one of the CEMS partner schools for either the autumn or spring semester. Global management practices and a variety of elective courses are required of all MIB students. Along with the MIB research thesis from the first year, students also complete a business project during the spring semester to fulfill the master’s thesis requirement.

You can modify certain aspects of the Program to match your personal goals and interests by taking elective courses. It is necessary to take four elective courses totaling 30 ECTS, including any language classes required to fulfill the language requirements. You have the option of taking two more courses for a total of 15 ECTS. You can choose advanced courses in economics, accounting, finance, or marketing, including those provided as part of the Data Analytics Track, to further your understanding in a particular field.

With the help of electives, you can expand your knowledge in areas that you did not cover in depth during your BSc Program or, alternatively, go deeper into particular facets of international business and international economics. If you decide against enrolling in the CEMS Program, you can study abroad at one of Stockholm’s partner universities or submit an application for the Wallenberg International Fellows Program.

Semester 3 and Semester 4

The following core courses, electives, and projects are covered under Semester 3 and Semester 4:

  • Global Strategy (CEMS)

The CEMS MIM Program at SSE can be joined in one of two ways:

The Stockholm MIM Admission Requirements
