CUHK MSc In Finance Interview Questions – 1
My interview for the CUHK Business School MSc in Finance program took place on April 5, 2023. It was an online interview conducted by Dr. Sophia Williams. The 45-minute conversation was interactive and enlightening. Dr. Williams displayed a keen interest in my background and career goals.

I had the privilege of being interviewed by Mr. Zsolt Kekesi for the CUHK MSc in Finance (Master of Management in Finance) program on January 04, 2023. Our conversation began with warm New Year’s greetings and ensuring that we were correctly pronouncing each other’s names. Mr. Kekesi informed me that he would be taking notes during the interview and might occasionally look away from the camera.
The following questions were posed during the interview:
1. Describe a pastime or other enjoyable activity.
2. Provide an overview of your professional background.
3. What drives your interest in pursuing a Master’s in Finance, and what led you to choose CUHK for the MSc program?
4. What are your intentions after completing the MSc in Finance program? Which geographical areas or industry sectors are you considering, and do you have a fallback plan?
5. Which aspect of your current position do you find the most satisfying?
6. Which aspect of your work is least appealing to you?
7. Share your experience of contributing to the finance industry.

My CUHK MSc in Finance interview took place on December 17, 2018, on the campus. The interview was conducted in a more casual and less structured manner than a typical interview. The interviewer asked the following questions:
1. Could you provide a brief description of your current role, including your duties and responsibilities?
2. Additional questions regarding the company you currently work for.
3. Describe a typical workday for you, if possible.
4. What would constitute a challenging workday for you?
5. What are your 10-year plans and long-term career goals?
6. In the event that your primary career goal does not materialize, do you have a contingency plan?
7. Do you have any volunteerism experience or other information you would like to share?
8. How would you handle it if one of your team members was struggling to keep up with the others?

CUHK MSc In Finance Interview Questions – 4
I received an interview invitation for the CUHK MSc in Finance program on May 2, 2019, and the interview was scheduled for May 7, 2019. At my request, the interview began an hour early to allow me to practice and fine-tune my responses while on Skype. The interviewer mentioned that there would be an opportunity for follow-up questions and that the interview would last around 30 minutes.
