Católica Lisbon MIF Interview Questions – 2
Mr. Zsolt Kekesi conducted my interview for the Católica Lisbon Executive Master in Finance program on January 04, 2023. Our conversation began with friendly exchanges about New Year’s celebrations and ensuring we pronounced each other’s names correctly (despite my eagerness, there were a few instances where I mispronounced his name). Mr. Kekesi informed me that he would be taking notes during the interview and might occasionally look away from the camera, but he assured me he was paying close attention.
The interview included the following questions:
1. Describe a pastime or other enjoyable activity.
2. Provide an overview of your professional background.
3. What sparked your interest in pursuing a Master’s in Finance, and why did you select Católica Lisbon for the Executive Master in Finance program?
4. What are your plans once you complete the program? Which geographic regions or sectors are you considering? Do you have a contingency plan?
5. Among your current job responsibilities, which aspect do you find the most enjoyable?
6. What part of your work do you find less appealing?
7. Tell us about your contributions to the financial industry. What do your colleagues view as your strongest trait?
8. Where do you envision your career in the next seven to ten years?
9. How would you handle a situation in which a team member is not carrying their fair share?
10. Share your most significant accomplishment.

Católica Lisbon MIF Interview Questions – 3
On October 30th, I submitted my application for the Católica Lisbon Executive Master in Finance program. After learning that I would have an interview on November 16, and with a prior commitment that required me to travel outside of Portugal for three weeks, I requested a postponement. Finally, on December 17, 2018, I had my interview on-campus.
The interview was more casual than a standard interview, with less structure. The interviewer posed the following questions:
1. Can you briefly describe your current position, along with your responsibilities and duties?
2. Additional questions pertaining to the company I currently work for.
3. Describe a typical workday for you, if possible. Initially, I heard it as a “tough day at work” (she corrected me).
4. She proceeded to inquire what would constitute a “tough” workday for me.
5. What are your ten-year plans and long-term professional goals?
6. Do you have a fallback strategy if your primary career goal does not materialize?
7. Do you have any volunteer or community involvement experience or other information you’d like to share?
8. How would you respond if one of your team members was struggling to keep up with the rest?
9. Do you have any questions you’d like to ask the interviewer?

Católica Lisbon MIF Interview Questions – 4
On May 2, 2019, I received an email notifying me that I had been selected for an interview for the Católica Lisbon Executive Master in Finance program. The interview was scheduled for May 7, 2019. At my request, the interview began an hour earlier as I wanted to practice my responses and audio quality over Skype. The interviewer mentioned there would be an opportunity for follow-up questions, and the interview was expected to last around 30 minutes.
During the interview, I faced the following questions:
1. In addition to your job experience listed on your CV, what extracurricular activities are you currently engaged in?
2. What are your current objectives?
3. If your immediate goals aren’t achieved, what is your fallback plan?
4. What motivates you to pursue an Executive Master in Finance degree?
5. What factors influenced your choice of Católica Lisbon for this program?
6. What qualities do you believe a successful leader should possess?
7. Given your experience working under pressure, how do you handle a situation when a team member is not performing well?

I would advise individuals preparing for the Católica Lisbon Executive Master in Finance interview to provide comprehensive responses.
