The Cambridge MFin focuses on the theory and practice of finance, drawing upon the University of Cambridge’s long heritage of excellence in teaching and research. Cambridge Judge MIF program is one of the only few Master of Finance programs in which 100% of the class has existing work experience in finance. Judge MIF Class Profile brings together diverse students with different goals in its portfolio. The program lasts for 12 months and consists of nine months of taught courses and an individual project carried out over the summer

Eligibility Criteria for MiF at Cambridge Judge

Academic Background:

  • At least a high 2:1 honours degree from a UK university or equivalent international qualification. A First Class degree is strongly preferred.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in a core finance or finance-related role after your undergraduate degree.

Additional Considerations:

  • While not mandatory, a strong GMAT score (average for admitted students is 700) can significantly improve your application.
  • The program is designed for individuals with some professional experience who are looking to develop their finance knowledge and skills.

The documents you’ll need to apply for the MiF at Cambridge Judge Business School include:

  • Online application form: This will likely include details about your academic background, work experience, and motivations for applying.

  • Application fee: There’s a non-refundable application fee of £120.

  • English language proficiency test score: You’ll need to submit an IELTS or TOEFL score to demonstrate your English language abilities. The minimum requirements are typically:

    • IELTS (Academic): Overall band of 7.5, with no subscore below 7.0
    • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 110, with no subscore below 25
  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates: Submit certified copies of your transcripts and degrees to verify your academic background.

  • Letter of Recommendation: Submit three LOR

Application Deadlines - MiF at Cambridge Judge

Applications to join the class of 2024 are open from 1 September 2023 to 31 May 2024.

They accept applications on a rolling basis. Entry into the programme is competitive, so we advise you to apply early. This is particularly important if you are planning to apply for scholarship funding.  

As the availability of College places and accommodation will become more limited later on in the admissions cycle, applying early increases your chances of getting into your preferred College. 

Submission of an early application also gives greater flexibility on interview scheduling, visa application (if necessary) and other admissions administration.

he programme lasts for 12 months and consists of nine months of taught courses and an individual project carried out over the summer. Between July and September students are required to complete a mandatory summer activity.

The Master of Finance programme starts at the end of September each year. It is not possible to start at any other point in the year.
