Introduction to Bentley University MSc in Finance

The Master of Finance degree integrates advanced analytics with the theories and applications of finance. Much like today’s workplace, the curriculum is infused with technology that gives graduates a competitive edge in the job market. The Bentley MSF has two paths. The first is a 10-course Finance path that can be completed in 9 to 15 months. The second is a STEM-designated 10-course Financial Analytics path that has a stronger mathematical and capital markets focus. This path can be completed in 12 to 15 months.

Eligibility Criteria for Bentley University MSc in Finance

  • Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must have a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • GPA: Applicants should have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Quantitative coursework: Applicants must have completed at least two semesters of calculus and one semester of statistics.
  • English language proficiency: International applicants must submit a TOEFL score of 100 or higher (iBT), an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, or a PTE Academic score of 68 or higher.

All applicants are considered for merit scholarship, and awards are communicated with the admission decision.

The Dean’s Leadership Award offers partial to full tuition remission for selected applicants from our partner organizations supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of business.

Qualified students who are pursuing Master’s degree in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley’s McCallum Graduate School of Business. Candidates must be full-time students in good academic standing. This award is an endowed fund – award will vary each academic cycle (estimate range is 1 course). The Bentley MSF program offers two paths: Finance and Financial Analytics. The Financial Analytics path is also a 10-course program, but it has a stronger mathematical and capital markets focus. This path can be completed in 12-15 months.

The Bentley MSF program requires a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution. Applicants must also have a strong quantitative background, as evidenced by their coursework and/or work experience.

The Financial Analytics path is designed to prepare students for careers in quantitative finance. The core courses in this path cover topics such as statistical methods for finance, machine learning, and data mining.
