Applicants to the online Master of Engineering program must have earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in engineering, science or math. Also, applicants must have completed a calculus sequence with a calculus-based statistics course.
Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 credit hours of their first bachelor’s degree program. Alternatively, applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 12 units of the postbaccalaureate transcript.

An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency.
Applicants must have successfully completed differential and integral calculus (Calculus I and II) and a calculus-based probability and statistics course.
GRE scores are not required.
Graduates of non-U.S. institutions must satisfy admission requirements established by the ASU Graduate College.

The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment has many scholarship programs available to students. In 2021-2022, the school awarded over $300,000 in the form of scholarship support to students in all degree programs. The school is committed to ensuring the success of all students and amplifying access to the field of engineering through generous donations and support from a number of caring donors, companies, community members, associations, organizations, and staff.

A student can defer his/her admission for one semester only; this can be done in the student’s MyASU student account; it is theRequest Change link (top right). A student must not be registered for courses at the time of the deferral request.
You can enter all types of work experience in the Education and Experience section as well as detailing these experiences on your CV (Resumé).
International students are required to take at least nine (9) credit hours each fall and spring semester.
