Global 3 MIM Interviews

About MIM Interviews:

Academic and professional admissions depend on interviews. It helps evaluate candidates’ credentials, talents, and personality. Interviews allow assessors to interact with applicants and make holistic judgements. This crucial step helps institutions to discover the most promising individuals who can succeed in their programmes.

Typical Interview Method:

Interviews usually include numerous steps to evaluate an applicant’s profile. Based on academic records, essays, and recommendation letters, individuals are shortlisted. Interviews might be face-to-face, telephonic, or video-based for shortlisted candidates.

The interview assesses an applicant’s topic knowledge, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and programme fit. They may ask broad and particular questions to gauge the applicant’s intelligence. Interviewers analyse motivation, personality, and fit with the institution’s ideals in addition to academic ability.

Interview panels use established criteria for fairness and uniformity. Academics, extracurriculars, leadership, and problem-solving may be considered. To evaluate a candidate’s capacity to collaborate, think critically, and solve issues under pressure, interviews may include practical exercises, group discussions, or case studies.

In conclusion, admission interviews help schools find extraordinary people with the talents, qualifications, and personality to succeed in their programmes. The systematic process allows evaluators to make educated selections and choose a varied and skilled group.

Global 3 MIM Interview Experience-1

The application-based interview lasted about 30 minutes. Questions:

1. Why Finance? Why now?

2. Why Global 3? Have you researched and visited the Global 3 program?

3. Tell me about a time when you faced an obstacle in your career.

4. Tell me about a time when you had to convince others to follow your lead.

5. Any questions about the program or Global 3?

The interviewer had thoroughly read my resume and application. The interview felt more like a conversation than an interview. I expected curveball questions, but it was a very straightforward process. Nothing surprised me.

Global 3 MIM Interview Experience-2

My interview is with an admission rep via Skype. The total time is 1 hour, with 40 minutes for questions about me, and 15 minutes for me to ask questions. Questions are composed of 4 areas:

1. Standard questions: why Finance, why Global 3.

2. My academic profile: if I used any GMAT training program, what my GPA is.

3. My work experience: if I have led a team, describe a time I have convinced people of my idea, describe a time I resolved conflict in a team (and what I would do differently if it happened again), if I have worked in different countries.

4. My career aspiration: what I intend to do after completing the course. Then I was asked some more questions like why I am suitable for this role.

Questions for Global 3: here I asked a couple of questions about the career center and Global 3’s new initiatives.

In summary, it was a fairly alright interview, however, I’ve received the result and it was a Ding! Not sure why, but I expect it may be something to do with yield protection (I was asked if I’ve applied elsewhere, and which stage I was up to, I said LBS and up to the interview stage).

How well-prepared are you for the demands of the Global 3 Master in Management program given your academic background?

3. Professional Experience: Give an example of a task or project where you used your excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Have you had the chance to work in multidisciplinary teams? How did you overcome any obstacles that came up?

4. Global Experience: Have you taken advantage of any educational or professional chances abroad?

– How do you believe your exposure to different cultures will enhance your learning process for the Global 3 Master in Management program?

5. Involvement in the Global 3 Community: What specific ways do you envision yourself enhancing the Global 3 program’s thriving academic and social communities?

6. I have the following questions for Global 3: Could you provide us more information on the research possibilities at the partner universities’ finance departments?

– How does the curriculum assist students in creating solid business relationships and obtaining internships?

The interviewer was attentive and involved the entire time, actively hearing my comments and asking follow-up questions as necessary. The interview gave me the chance to have a meaningful dialogue in which I could demonstrate my love of finance and my compatibility with the Global 3 Master in Management program.
