Introduction to MiM at ESADE
The Esade MSc in International Management is a space to stop, take a step back and contemplate. This is where you define what kind of leader you want to be, the values you want to uphold, and the objectives you want to pursue.
You already know how to debate. Now, you’ll learn to dialogue. To truly listen to others and understand them, so that you can motivate them and solve problems together. The problems of the future will only be solved if we listen and collaborate.
You’ll learn to lead, but a different type of leadership based on systemic thinking and long term view of the challenges we face. To do so, you’ll have to develop a key skill: the ability to manage yourself.
Esade’s Master of Science in International Management has been recognized as the #8 best in the world (#7 in Europe and #1 in Spain) according to the Financial Times (September 2023)
This recognition is attributed to the salary and career progression of our alumni, Esade’s emphasis on ESG and net zero teaching, and our students’ global exposure.
What is a good GMAT score for ESADE MiM?
Short Answer – The average GMAT score at ESADE is 670 for the last entering class. If you score above 670, you have a fair shot and you will receive an encouraging response to your profile evaluation from the admission committee.
Long Answer – There is no such thing as a safe score, higher is always better. In our years of consulting experience, we have seen our clients with 640 getting selected into top schools like INSEAD and on the other hand, someone with a 770 getting rejected too. A good benchmark that we advise all our clients to beat is the average GMAT score of the last entering class as mentioned in the Class profile published every year. Scoring above the average gets you a fair shot;
“The higher your score, the better is it for your interview or admission chance.”
If you plan to apply with a score that is below the average, then you are starting a fight with one hand tied behind your back or, let’s say, you are starting a few yards behind your competitors. You can definitely catch up in other sections of the application by writing outstanding essays or performing really well in an interview later. But it is always nice to start ahead of the competitor. A higher GMAT score helps one gain a competitive advantage.
“What if you are from the over represented Indian or Asian Pool?”
The over-represented candidate pool of Indian or Chinese applicants usually goes through a rigorous preparation process for GMAT, with a lot of Indian applicants scoring quite high. Hence, the overall competition and the Average score for this diaspora goes up by a few notches. That is why we recommend candidates within the most over-represented profiles to shoot at least 20 points higher than the school’s class profile average.

What is the difference between the MSc Programs in Management and an MBA?
MSc Programs in Management are designed for young graduates without professional experience (internships are not counted as professional experience) or with minimal professional experience (under two years). The MSc programs capitalise on previous knowledge by approaching it from a practical perspective and specialising in an area of interest. You also develop a range of personal and professional skills which will boost your career opportunities.
MBA programs from world-leading business schools, such as Esade, are aimed at professionals with at least two years of full-time professional experience. In fact, the average of our students is five years. MBAs are for graduates from any discipline who want to receive in-depth training in management. There are some MBA programs that do not require a minimum of two years of professional experience: however, these tend not to appear in rankings or on recruiters’ shortlists.
What are the teaching language on the MSc Programs in Management?
They are taught entirely in English.
