Copenhagen Business School Master’s in International Management

The top 70 applicants will be invited to an interview on either November 9 or 10, in either the morning or the afternoon. The interview will be conducted in English, usually by a combination of CBS representatives, including the CBS CEMS Academic Director, the CEMS Programme Manager as well as CEMS corporate partner representatives and alumni. The interview will include an individual presentation by the student.

MIM Interview Experience-1

MIM Interview Experience-2

Last to last week, I was interviewed for the MSc in International Management program at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). The interview was a comprehensive and insightful experience that provided me with a deeper understanding of the program’s ethos and expectations.

The interview panel, comprised of representatives from CBS, including the CBS CEMS Academic Director, the CEMS Programme Manager, and esteemed corporate partner representatives and alumni, showcased the commitment of the institution to a holistic and industry-relevant education. Their diverse backgrounds contributed to a dynamic conversation that touched upon various aspects of international management.

The individual presentation segment added an extra layer to the interview process, allowing me to showcase my skills and articulate my unique attributes. This component not only challenged me but also highlighted the emphasis CBS places on practical communication and presentation abilities.

Last week, I underwent the MSc in International Management interview at CBS, an illuminating experience reinforcing my belief in CBS’s commitment to global perspectives.

The diverse panel, including the CBS CEMS Academic Director and corporate partners, asked insightful questions covering sustainability integration, challenges in emerging markets, and the role of technology in international business. My interview for the MIM program at CBS concluded 2 days ago. It was an enlightening experience that offered a deep understanding of the program’s expectations and what it had to offer.

Here’s a rundown of the questions the adcom asked me:

  1. How do you envision developing your leadership skills during the MSc program, and what specific qualities do you believe are essential for effective international leadership?
  2. Discuss a specific global economic or geopolitical challenge that has caught your attention and explain its potential impact on international business.
  3. How do you think the MSc in International Management at CBS can equip you to address such challenges in your future career?
  4. What role do you believe technology and digital transformation play in the future landscape of international business?
  5. How would you adapt to these changes, considering your aspirations as a future international manager?

For the individual presentation section, I had the chance to present on the role of technology in the future landscape of international business. This allowed me to showcase my research skills and highlighted CBS’s dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends.

The panel delved into my motivation for pursuing international management, adaptability in global scenarios, and the leadership role I envision. Their probing inquiries made the interview engaging and thorough. The entire process took approximately 35 minutes, maintaining a balance between depth and efficiency.

In summary, the interview at CBS gave me a holistic assessment and reinforced my belief in the program’s commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance, and the development of well-rounded, globally-minded professionals.
