Eligibility Criteria for Warsaw School Advanced Analytics-Big Data

Master’s course in Advanced Analytics – Big Data is based on two types of knowledge. The first set of skills is technical, which includes programming in selected languages and familiarity with systems/platforms of data analysis. The second relates to actual data analysis, including algorithms based on mathematics, specifically mathematical analysis and probability theory.

Regarding technical skills, particularly in programming languages such as Python or R, classes are taught from scratch, and prior knowledge is not required. Naturally, a student with programming knowledge in those or other languages will have a significant advantage. In terms of data analysis, classes are also taught from scratch, but a prior understanding of certain concepts in linear algebra, mathematical analysis, and probability theory is required. Those learning gaps can be filled through additional courses related to this Master’s course, but it requires more work.

Please note that:

  • if you do not receive your diploma before the end of the document submission period, you may submit your thesis defense confirmation (or your provisional diploma) instead, but you will be required to submit your final degree diploma as soon as you receive it. Keep in mind that you can’t apply for graduate studies at SGH before you complete your undergraduate education.
  • you should make sure that you have all required documents with you as incomplete sets will not be accepted;
  • you may submit the documents either personally or through a representative (with a power of attorney), but you should not send them by post or courier services.

Scholarships Available : Warsaw School Advanced Analytics-Big Data

The program offers three different types of scholarships:

1. Scholarship to Start for Olympians:

This scholarship is addressed to first-year students in first-cycle or long second-cycle studies. The scholarship is offered for students who have won subject competitions and have received the highest amount of points during the recruitment process for their studies, based on their title as a subject competition winner.

2. Scholarship to Start for Athletes:

The given scholarship is awarded to students in the first year of the first-cycle, second-cycle, and long-term studies, as well as first-year doctoral candidates at doctoral school, who are outstanding athletes with the status of medallist of Polish Championships or finalists of the Olympics, World, or European Championships. It is also for students, who are eligible for the Rector’s scholarship in the academic year in which they apply for the “Scholarship to Start.”

3.Rector’s Scholarship

Can be given to a student who obtained a high GPA in the preceding year, has significant scientific achievements, artistic achievements or has achievements in sport on the national and/or international level. It also may be granted to first-year students, namely – laureates of the International Science Olympiad or one of the Polish Science Olympiads.

You are eligible to apply if you have earned a degree from any reputed college with proven entrance results.

You can enter all types of work experience in the Education and Experience section as well as detailing these experiences on your CV (Resumé).

You are required to pay the application fee of 85 PLN.

You have until September 30 to cover at least the first instalment of your tuition. If you wish to cover the payment in advance because of the visa procedures, you can do so. Contact the Admissions Office to receive the bank details.
