Academic Qualifications:
Applicants are required to possess, or anticipate obtaining, a bachelor’s degree in a field of study such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, economics, or a comparable quantitative discipline prior to the commencement of the program.
The course may be categorized as either completed, in progress or intended at the time of application submission. However, a significant priority will be granted to those who have successfully completed their study.
The completion of the program can be done either by in-person attendance or online enrollment at any community college or four-year university that is accredited by a degree-granting institution or recognized by the government.The need is to have successfully obtained college credit with a minimum grade of “C” or above.
You should know fundamental coding principles utilizing the Python and/or R programming languages. The concepts to be covered include variables, conditionals, loops, functions, list comprehensions, and lambda expressions.

For International Students:
Copy of academic transcript and diploma (or equivalent document showing date and place of degree conferral) for all international applicants. At the time of application, copies of documents are allowed; if admitted to the program, official documents will be sought. A WES Evaluation Report must be submitted if you are planning to or have completed your undergraduate studies at a non-U.S. institution.
Michigan Ross recognizes most bachelor’s degrees are earned in three years, provided they are comparable to a four-year degree in the United States.
A certified English translation of the transcript or degree must be submitted if the original document was not written in English. A literal rather than figurative translation is preferred. The issuing university must certify the authenticity of any submitted certified copies of original transcripts. Invalid are documents that have been notarized by a public notary.

A passing score on either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required if English is not your first language.
These are the bare minimums needed to qualify:
TOEFL: 100
IELTS: 7.0
The admissions committee doesn’t just look at the overall score, but also at each component, to make sure that candidates are truly qualified. Speaking scores of at least 20 on the TOEFL or 7.0 on the IELTS are preferred, though not required.
No more than two years should have passed since an applicant took the TOEFL or IELTS exam before submitting an application.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must be taken in its internet-based test (iBT) format. The code 1839 is Ross’s unique TOEFL reporting ID.
Choose “University of Michigan – Ann Arbor” as the receiving institution to have your IELTS results delivered directly to Ross.
International applicants who completed their undergraduate studies at a regionally or internationally recognized institution where English was the language of instruction are excused from the TOEFL or IELTS requirement.
APPLICATION MATERIALS:
It is imperative to provide transcripts from all prior undergraduate or postgraduate institutions that the individual has attended. Applicants have the option to add unofficial transcripts to their application, which will be deemed satisfactory for the purpose of evaluation. In the event of admission to the program, it is imperative that final official transcripts be submitted from all previously attended educational institutions prior to commencing the program.
The requirement for the GRE/GMAT is exempted for applicants who possess a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher (rounded from the third decimal place) from their undergraduate degree-granting institution.
It is imperative that your curriculum vitae encompasses current educational details and comprehensive professional experience, accompanied by precise dates. These dates should align with the dates specified in your application. In addition to community and professional service activities, individuals may also choose to disclose their hobbies and interests.

The non-refundable application fee is $100 USD.
The application materials you submit to Ross will be kept for one application cycle. You must submit a new application form, one recommendation form, an updated CV, and a cover letter explaining any changes since your initial application if you wish to reapply to the program for a subsequent start term.
All application materials must be resubmitted if an applicant reapplies more than one year after their original start period. You can re-apply through the website by entering your original username and password.
