The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB aims to prepare young people to be change agents in their communities, countries, and regions and targets students who are academically promising, financially disadvantaged, and show a commitment to community give-back. It offers students full tuition support, a monthly stipend, medical insurance, housing, books, and laptop, in addition to travel and flights for students from sub-Saharan Africa, Palestinian and Syrian refugees and needy Lebanese.
The program requires scholars to attend a series of workshops, courses, and fieldwork in addition to the courses for their degree. Scholarships will be open for all the master’s degrees offered at AUB. Only full-time students are eligible for this scholarship. Accepted students whose English language proficiency does not meet AUB requirements might require one or two additional semesters to complete the degree (for a total of 2.5 years).
